C & W Services Mathematical Reasoning Tests

Depending on the position you have applied for you may be required to take a pre-hire mathematical reasoning test. These tests are used by C & W Services to gain an understanding of your numerical abilities. The areas tested can range from the simplest of mathematics to more in-depth calculations and critical reasoning depending on your job level.

C & W Services Mechanical Reasoning Tests

Most mechanical reasoning and electrical reasoning tests introduce basic concepts of Newtonian mechanics and static and dynamic electricity. The focus is usually not on calculations, but understanding of the basic principles involved. The questions are usually standard multiple-choice questions, where only one answer is correct out of several optional answers. As the tests are timed, rehearsing the concepts and knowing what questions usually look like improves performance in terms of both accuracy and response time.

Note that if you are applying to a position that requires more vocational experience, you may be requested to take a Ramsay Mechanical Test. Based on your position, that may be the Ramsay Electrical Maintenance Test for electrical jobs, the Ramsay Maintenance Test for maintenance jobs, or the Amazon Tech Test, if your position is part of an outsourcing service for Amazon.

C & W Services Interview Preparation

During a job interview, you will likely be asked questions ranging from your previous work history, salary expectations, and those that assess job-specific skills. It is important to research and understand the specific competencies the company is looking for in its applicants to confidently pass this part of the recruitment process. A practice Q & A will also be beneficial as this can help you work on the flow of your answers and overall tone.

FAQs

C & W Services uses aptitude tests to measure and understand your workplace competencies and capabilities. These tests are often scored by taking your score and comparing it to that of other candidates, then comparing all scores to the benchmark score.

A Panel Interview is a type of face-to-face interview. Unlike a regular in-person interview, where you will speak to a Human Resources representative and your prospective manager, on the panel interview, you will have a conversation with four or six people simultaneously. The people to whom you talk on the panel interview most probably will be a Human Resources manager, team leaders, and managers of several departments where you can work, if employed. Questions asked in the panel interview are mostly competency based. You will need to tell them about your education and working experience. To answer situational judgment questions well, think about the situation that presented challenges in your former workplace and that you resolved by making a smart decision. The company’s recruiters will want to know why you arrived at this specific decision and why you did not pursue available alternatives. They may also want to walk you through your résumé and ask you questions about the companies for which you worked in the past. In return, recruiters will tell you about the company’s business goals and structure. The panel interview may take up to two hours.
