Prepare for the Merck Assessment Test

1. Your Merck hiring process will begin with the submission of an online application. From there, an initial interview is scheduled. Expect to spend approximately two hours answering questions that relate to your experience, desire to work at Merck, work preferences, and situational judgment. Pass the interview, and you are scheduled to take the computer-based SRT cognitive assessment.
2. Merck recruits for the following positions: Management Acceleration Program (GMAP), intern, Bio-technician, scientist, senior manager, sales representative, associates, administrative assistant, technician.
3. You will probably face a S.T.A.R interview questions format, which stands for Situation, Task, Action, Result.
4. For some of the positions, you will be required to take a video interview. Using our online video interview preparation tools will help you get prepared.
5. After the phone interview, you may be required to wait a few months before scheduling the face to face interview.
6. Teamwork is important to most of Merck positions - presenting it in an interview can help set you apart from other applicants.
7. Make sure you got the relevant technical information at hand. There is a high chance you will be asked about it in your interview.
8. Some of the positions require you to answer a case study as part of the interview, in this case, think in advance about common difficult situations you may encounter in the role and how you will cope. Using our Situational Judgement test can help you prepare for these types of questions.
