The ACT WorkKeys Talent assessment measures your behaviors, mindsets, and attitudes in the workplace to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses and gauge your success in your future job.
You will be presented with statements regarding personal preferences, tendencies, and characteristics related directly or indirectly to workplace behavior. You will need to indicate how well each statement describes you on a scale of “Strongly Disagree” to “Strongly Agree.”n
You will have 165 items to address in approximately 35 minutes.
This assessment is administrated only by computer.
Below is a series of self-describing statements. Rate the degree to which you identify with each on a six-point scale ranging from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree".
I seldom rethink my choices.
People who take too long to take action irritate me
My judgments are supported by proven truths, not possibilities
In unfamiliar settings, I might be nervous
Before action, I consider the result
I perform optimally in settings where I am in control
I am unlikely to abandon something I'm currently doing to assist someone
There are instances when I disregard feedback from everyone
In this type of personality and behavioral assessment, you should address every statement as authentically and genuinely as possible. However, this is your opportunity to highlight your behaviors and attitudes that best align with the line of work you are aiming for.
As such, in managerial positions, statements such as “I seldom re-think my choices” can look like a good quality, but they may come across as over-confident, so it is better to choose a moderate answer such as “Slightly Agree.”
For retail and customer services positions, a statement like “People who take too long to take action irritate me” can indicate impatience, a quality that is not useful when working with the public; thus, it should be ranked low.

Be consistent
Some statements are different in phrasing but similar in meaning. Look for these statements and be persistent in your answers.
Be moderate
In some statements, a response of “Strongly Disagree” or “Strongly Agree” might seem slightly exaggerated. So, unless you truly and genuinely believe this is the correct response to describe your behavior and the job’s characteristics, try to keep away from the edges.
