Xactly Hiring Process

The Xactly hiring and recruitment process consists of the following steps:

  • Online application: The Xactly hiring process begins with an online application that is screened by the Newton applicant tracking system (ATS). Newton is used to screen your application/questionnaire and CV. This applicant tracking system assesses your answers and documents for keyword-specific phrases.   • Assessment tests: Once your application is complete, depending on the job position, you may encounter a pre-employment assessment test. Be sure to review and prepare for these tests as they can be the difference in moving forward with a job offer or not.
  • Interview: Once you pass the assessments, you may be asked to complete a variety of interviews (telephone, video, in-person, and panel). Be sure to review and practice for all types of interviews with our Interview PrepPack™.

Xactly Assessment Tests

Depending on the position for which you’re applying, you may be required to complete pre-employment assessment tests. Some of the tests you may encounter are outlined below.

Cognitive Assessment

The cognitive assessment Xactly uses is the Criteria Cognitive Aptitude Test (CCAT). This test is a popular pre-employment assessment that measures your problem-solving abilities, skill learning capabilities, and critical thinking.

It consists of 50 questions, has a 15-minute time limit, and is comprised of three question categories—math and logic, verbal ability, and spatial reasoning. It's important to note that very few people manage to finish the entire test within the time limit.

Xactly Personality Test

Occasionally utilized in the hiring process, personality tests are sometimes in-depth or brief assessments that measure your compatibility for the company and position for which you are applying. Additionally, personality tests assess your approach to work scenarios and colleagues.

Technical Test

Technical tests are used to analyze and assess your specific job capabilities and skill set. For example, if you are applying for a secretary position, you may be given typing and data entry tests.
