FedEx Caliper Personality Test

Used primarily for management positions, FedEx also utilizes the Caliper assessment in its pre-employment hiring process. Caliper’s multiple-choice personality assessment measures a candidate’s strengths, limitations, motivators, and likeliness to succeed. The Caliper test can take up to three hours to complete and has three distinct question types—which answer most/least reflects your perspective, strongly agree/strongly disagree, and true and false questions.

FedEx Hogan Tests

Hogan assessments enable your employer to assess your personality in the workplace. The following assessments predict your potential performance based on your strengths, weaknesses, values, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, these assessments measure your personality characteristics, risk of career derailment, core values, and cognitive style. Hogan tests include HPI, HDS, MVPI, HBRI, and judgment tests.

FedEx Typing Tests

Typing tests are used to measure how quickly and accurately you can type in a given amount of time. Speed and accuracy are the key factors for determining your WPM (words per minute).

FedEx Accounting Tests

An accounting test may contain the following sections - Accounting Terms, Accounting Problems, Comparing & Checking, Alphabetizing/Filing, Working with Letters and Numbers, Memorization, Coding, Inductive Reasoning, and Deductive Reasoning.

FedEx Hiring Process

The FedEx hiring process begins with Brassrings's applicant tracking system (ATS). The ATS presents you with a brief questionnaire and the opportunity to upload your resume, CV, and additional documents. Once you do so, the ATS screens your FedEx Job application, resume, CV, cover letter, and additional documents for keyword-specific phrases. To ensure your application successfully makes it to the assessment round, be sure your answers and documents properly align with and mirror the job description. Learn more about applicant tracking systems on our dedicated ATS page.

Once your application successfully passes to the next round, you will, depending on the job position, encounter pre-employment assessments. FedEx tends to utilize behavioral aptitude and personality tests (outlined below) in its hiring process.

Then, once you complete and pass the assessment phase, you will be asked to complete various interviews. You may encounter a one-on-one interview or a panel interview. To learn more about each interview type, receive interview tips, and practice mock interviews, prepare with our Interview PrepPack™.

How Is FedEx Personality Test Evaluated?

When completing a personality test it is important you understand the nature of this test. The purpose of this assessment is to establish based on your personality and behavioral style if you will do the job, if you can do the work, and if you would actually fit the position. The questions will target work-related activities such as managing stakeholders, working in groups, complying with regulations, problem-solving, leadership skills, coping with pressure and stress. You should also determine which personality traits are important for FedEx and for your desired position. For example, an HR manager’s scores are supposed to reflect her communication and organizational skills, whereas for a sales position, a competitive and initiative nature is favored.

What Is the FedEx's Face to Face Interview?

There are several different types of questions you may face during your interviews. Most interviews consist of competency-based questions, but some include job-related questions, maths problems, or riddles. You can also expect to be asked about your resume and your motivation regarding the position for which you are applying. To help you prepare for your interview and other assessments, we have created a unique preparation pack with all the resources you need. The pack features a detailed interview guide written by our accredited psychologists. This guide covers various aspects of interviews and offers important tips. It discusses, among other things, competency-based questions and how to use the STAR method when answering them. It also provides advice on how to answer common interview questions. Going over these principles and reading the guide can help you prepare for your interviews.
