Bank of America Merrill Lynch Teller Tests Content

The Bank of America online assessment test was created to ensure that you are a good fit for the teller position, as well as assess your cohesiveness within the Bank of America corporate culture.

For this reason, you are tested in the following categories:

Situational Judgment

There are situational questions dealing with typical banking procedures and issues that may arise on the job. They relate closely to customer service and how you advise customers.

Attention to Detail

In the situational judgment questions, you will be asked to recite from memory the issues that arose in the previous customer interaction. It is important that you take basic notes to remember the important information.

Mathematics

The bank teller position requires a lot of mathematical skills. You will need to quickly figure out the rates a customer will receive which differs with the capital in their bank accounts. You will encounter mathematical questions in different formats throughout the Bank of America pre-employment test.

Numeracy Skills

These questions deal with candidates’ accuracy in counting money and quick math and thinking abilities.

Personality Test

BoA requires its tellers to be engaging and able to easily connect with customers. Learn more about taking and passing personality tests.
